Birmingham 2022 Festival presents D-Sign Dance project's 'Vibrations' - Choreographed by Deaf Men Dancing's Artistic Director Mark Smith and working with participants who are D/deaf and hard of hearing. The piece premiers at Birmingham Weekender on Saturday 27 August.
'Vibrations' explores the question 'What do you feel when you hear music?" And the motif of the butterfly (a strong symbol in the D/deaf community) through movement and British Sign Language.
D-Sign Dance Project is a collaboration between Birmingham 2022 Festival, Deaf Men Dancing, Black Country Dance Hub and Arts Outburst, inspired by Critical Mass and supported by Spirit of 2012.
