Come and see how your community's creative ideas have been realised in the launch of three themed benches for the people of Northfield, providing space for arts activities with the themes of puppetry, visual art, and open conversation!
Our emerging artist, Henry Jones, has been working hard putting the community's ideas into the design of the 'Talking Benches', which will serve as permanent interactive art installations for the community in various locations around Northfield. The launch day will see these benches come to life with four free arts workshops taking place around them, along with a social, chilled atmosphere, and great music.
The benches will be placed in Northfield Library, Northfield Station, and the Northfield Arts Forum's Community Garden. They will be accessible for the community to visit, relax, and create at for long after the launch, but visitors at this event will be the first to see the benches and experience the arts workshops around them! The event is open to all ages and is completely free.
