Applications are now closed for In Venue Hosts and In Venue Announcers to join the Sport Presentation team at each and every venue over the course of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
You'll play a vital, in venue role live in front of a packed house - to ensure spectators at the summer's must-see sporting event are informed, engaged and inspired. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity - and it's PAID!
In Venue Host: This is an in vision role live to the big screens in venue. You'll be responsible for live links, athlete interviews, spectator engagement and for ensuring fans have all the info they need to get them involved and invested in an action-packed day at each venue.
In Venue Announcer: Otherwise known as a Voice of God, you'll be responsible for announcing the athletes on to the field of play and relaying scoring moments for all spectators in the venue. You'll also announce the results of the competition and the Medal Ceremonies - the pinnacle of these Games.
Successful applications will work with the team from Progress Productions - world leaders in Sport Presentation. They'll also be mentored by industry leaders and will attend workshops with special industry guests to get them ready to go live this summer!
We're looking for:
Locals - People who are proud to call Birmingham and the West Midlands home. We want your input into the creative programme to ensure it caters to those who call this lovely region home.
Emerging Talent - This opportunity is open to those 18+ who are looking for their first opportunity in the Sport/Live Events/Broadcast industry.
Sport Fans - Those with history in or connection to one of the sports taking place this summer.
You must be:
- Available for the full duration of the competition and rehearsal days (Birmingham 2022 will be held from 28 July until 8 August)
- Committed to attending training workshops which will be held in late June and early July.
If you're based in the West Midlands and are passionate about live sport, apply now for your chance to be involved in the summer's must-see sporting event!
The closing date for applications is 23:59GMT on the 6 March 2022.
