The final day of Birmingham's spectacular Commonwealth Games will feature more medals and one huge celebration.

Here, we pick out five things to keep an eye out for.

 

Spendolini-Siriex goes for third medal

England's teenage sensation Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix has already enjoyed a stunning Games.

The 17-year-old won women's 10m platform gold before adding synchronised 10m platform silver alongside Eden Cheng,

Now she teams up with Noah Williams, himself a men's 10m synchronised champion with Matty Lee, in the mixed competition.

India bid to topple Australia

Australia have never failed to win the men's Hockey event at the Commonwealth Games, winning every tournament since Kuala Lumpur in 1998.

India are out to end that run in the final at 12.30pm.

Before that at 9am England take on South Africa for the bronze medal.

Lauren Smith chases two golds

England's Lauren Smith has the chance to win her first Commonwealth gold on Monday as she features in both the Badminton mixed doubles and women's doubles finals.

Smith and Marcus Ellis take on Singapore's Hee Tong Kai Terry and Tan Jessica Wei Han in the opening match at 8am, before she teams up with Chloe Birch in the women's doubles final at 10.30am.

Smith has three silver and two bronze medals on her Commonwealth record from previous Games.

England bid for double doubles Squash gold

It could be a glorious final day for England in the Squash, with women's doubles pair Alison Waters and Sarah-Jane Perry taking on New Zealand's Joelle King and Amanda Murphy-Landers at 12pm.

And England are guaranteed to land gold in the men's doubles as James Willstrop and Declan James take on Adrian Waller and Daryl Selby in the final at 1pm.

Closing Ceremony brings curtain down

The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games began on July 28 with a spectacular opening ceremony at Alexander Stadium. 

It will close in similarly show-stopping fashion when the closing ceremony kicks off at 8pm, and the countdown to Victoria 2026 begins.
