Jenkins (pictured above), a current Vice-President of the CGF and former CEO of Sport Wales, was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his services to the Commonwealth Games and to sport in Wales.

He competed for Wales in rowing at the Edinburgh 1986 Commonwealth Games and has had many roles with Sport Wales, including Chef de Mission at the 2010 Games in Delhi and the 2008 and 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games. He also chairs the CGF’s Development Committee.

Dr Harcourt was appointed as a Member (AM) of the Order of Australia for significant service to sports and exercise medicine and to anti-doping monitoring.

He has had a long and distinguished career in sports medicine, and since 2020 has been Chair of the CGF’s Anti-Doping and Medical Commission and Medical Advisor. He was made a life Member of Commonwealth Games Australia in May this year.

Dame Louise Martin, CGF President, said: “I’d like to send my warmest congratulations to Chris and Peter after they were both honoured in the King’s first Birthday Honours List.

“They play pivotal roles here at the CGF and have been hugely impactful across sport in Wales, Australia and further afield, throughout their careers.

“It is wonderful that both of them have been recognised for their achievements, and we look forward to continuing to draw on their knowledge and experience here at the GGF.”
