Yasmin Zammit Stevens has represented Malta at Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, Tokyo 2020 Olympics, 2021 World Weightlifting Championships, and now in the Queen’s Baton Relay.
Yasmin has a degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Malta. During her time at university, she attended a cross fit class where she discovered weightlifting. Since then, she has been obsessed with the sport as it makes her feel empowered, especially as a woman.
Yasmin has competed in international arenas during her career, and she hopes Birmingham 2022 will be next.
