We are working with a group BAME 6 to 16 year olds in Sparkbrook delivering Sports and we can support ongoing participation and social coherance before, during and after Birmingham 2022. Amanah Youth Development Ltd is a not for profit business working in the Sparkhill area of central Birmingham.  

We benefit from both Sport England and National lottery funding who support are work using Sport as a means of improving social cohesion and community integration in one of the most socially disadvantaged area in the UK.

Currently we are delivering a long programme of football coaching sessions focussed on younger Muslim children (under 10 years old) who are impoverished and at risk of recruitment to county lines drug gangs very active in the area.We are also about to begin a series of swimming lessons focused on the same demographic to address the very low take up of swimming in the BAME community
