Don't miss the action

Some hints and tips to help you enjoy your day

  • Get there early and make a day of it: Get to the trails by about 11:00 and enjoy the action until the middle of the afternoon. You’ll have plenty of time to grab a bite to eat during the early part of the day, so you can refuel for the afternoon’s action. If you can’t make the earlier race, make sure you get to the trails by 13:30 for the afternoon’s action.
  • Choose the best spot to watch: There is a ticket only viewing area at the start/finish line however we have created some designated viewing areas for those without tickets and the action will be spectacular from these areas. We have created the handy map at the top of the page to show the viewing areas and the trails to use. Pick your spot and enjoy your day.
  • Don’t get caught out: Although schools will be closed for the holidays, don’t forget it is a normal working day for many. Please think about when and how you travel, avoiding usual commuter times if you can, that way you won’t miss any of the action.
  • Soak up the atmosphere:  There will be plenty to see and do around the course and if you’re heading further afield before or after the event, why not check out the Birmingham 2022 Festival activities.
  • Enjoy your day respectfully: Cannock Chase Forest is within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and so we ask all spectators to observe Forestry England’s code while enjoying their time in the Forest whether that’s taking litter home with you if possible, using the designated toilet areas at all times or generally being respectful of the forest environment.
