A range of accessible travel options are available to travel to venues, including accessible shuttle buses from dedicated accessible stations and blue badge parking (to be pre-booked) either at venues or linked by accessible shuttle bus.
Games Shuttle Bus
We aim to ensure all shuttle buses are fully accessible, however there is additional assistance available for those requiring it.
If the dedicated Blue Badge parking is fully booked at your venue, why not consider using the Games dedicated accessible shuttle bus service which is included within your ticket.
The accessible shuttle buses will operate from key train stations to all venues, except The NEC and Smithfield. See table below for the pick-up and drop off locations.
Mobility Scooter Users
Please note that only class 2 mobility scooters can be accepted on accessible buses. “Class 2” mobility scooters with 3 or 4 wheels will be accepted provided they are no more than 600mm wide and 1000mm long, with a turning radius not exceeding 1200mm. The mobility scooter plus user must not exceed 300kg. Class 3 scooters which are larger will not be permitted.”
Wheelchair Users
Wheelchairs can be accommodated on all accessible shuttle buses, subject to these maximum dimensions and a combined user and wheelchair weight limit of 300kg:
- total length of 1200mm, including extra-long footplates
- total width of 700mm

*Coventry Arena & Stadium: there will be a dedicated accessible shuttle bus service to serve rail passengers from Coventry Station and pre-booked Blue Badge parking at Westminster Road Car Park. The shuttle for both will be located immediately outside Coventry train station entrance, approximately 200-250m walk to the venue. The shuttle buses will take people to the venue, either to the north or south depending on where seated. Loan wheelchairs will be available for people who may require additional assistance.
After the event there will be a 20–30-minute vehicle hold to the north of the venue where no vehicles can be loaded / leave the venue due to the volume of spectators exiting and therefore spectators using the accessible shuttle bus from the north will asked to remain in their seats until just before the vehicle hold is lifted and will then be able to access the shuttle buses and return to Coventry Station.
**Sutton Park: due to the field of play, the accessible shuttle will drop spectators 750m from the venue entrance. From here there will be staff and loan wheelchairs available to support, and then an onward wheelchair accessible buggy to the venue.
