Founded by Birmingham 2022 Chair, John Crabtree OBE, United by Birmingham 2022 sees the potential of the Games to improve the image of Birmingham and the West Midlands and how, for thousands of people who live and work here, 2022 will become a springboard for new possibilities. An establishment Trustee Board guided the charity initially to maximise the opportunities in the run up to the Games.
Following an open and transparent selection process, chaired by an independent panel United by 2022 has recruited a permanent Trustee Board. The two will run in parallel until post-Games when the Estalishment Trustee Board will be dissolved.
Both the establishment and permanent Board Trustees are drawn from the region with dedication and expertise in a range of fields including sport, community, the arts and business.
